Westbury Court Garden

Westbury Court Garden is a rare surviving example of a late 17th-century Dutch water garden, one of the finest of its kind in England. Originally laid out between 1696 and 1705, the garden features long formal canals flanked by clipped hedges, a tall pavilion and a restored summer house. After falling into neglect, the National Trust restored the garden using the original account books of its creator, Maynard Colchester. The walled garden contains varieties of fruit, vegetables and flowers known to have been grown in English gardens before 1700.
