Wheal Coates

Wheal Coates is a dramatic ruined tin mine perched on the clifftops near St Agnes, one of the most photographed industrial heritage sites in Cornwall. The engine houses and chimney stacks, dating from the 1870s, stand as striking monuments to Cornwall's mining past. The site is part of the Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape World Heritage Site.
