Open all year during reasonable daylight hours; no admission charge. Cadw may close monuments at short notice in extreme weather. The RSPB visitor centre, cafe and toilets nearby open 10am to 5pm.
Terrain level 3, moderate: an exposed mountainside site that may be slippery or muddy underfoot, with heights around it and uneven historic steps; neighbouring farmland may have grazing animals. No facilities at the huts. Drones are not permitted.
Dogs: The RSPB welcomes dogs under control on the paths of its South Stack reserve around the huts and in Ellin's Tower, but not in the cafe; assistance dogs only in the visitor centre.
