Ullswater is the second largest lake in the Lake District, stretching seven and a half miles through three dramatic reaches. The National Trust cares for much of the surrounding land including the famous Glenridding Common, Glencoyne and the slopes of Helvellyn. The shores provide the setting for Wordsworth's daffodils and offer some of the finest scenery in England.
