Aira Force and Gowbarrow Park

Aira Force is a spectacular 20-metre waterfall set in ancient woodland on the shores of Ullswater. The surrounding Gowbarrow Park is where Wordsworth and his sister Dorothy famously saw the daffodils that inspired one of the best-known poems in the English language. Stone-arched footbridges span the gorge above the waterfall, offering dramatic viewpoints.
