Hadrian's Wall and Housesteads Fort

The National Trust cares for some of the most dramatic sections of Hadrian's Wall where it rides the crags of the Whin Sill in Northumberland. This UNESCO World Heritage Site stretches across wild, open countryside with sweeping views in every direction. The fort at Housesteads is managed by English Heritage, while the surrounding landscape of crags, loughs and farmland is in National Trust care.
