Buttermere Valley

Buttermere Valley contains two of the Lake District's most photogenic lakes, Buttermere and Crummock Water, set beneath dramatic fell scenery. The easy lakeside walk around Buttermere is one of the most popular in the region, passing through a rock tunnel and offering views of Haystacks and Fleetwith Pike. The valley is also the starting point for ascents of several classic Lakeland peaks.
